WLUSA has a new President this year!
Keith Goulet has started a 2 year term as WLUSA president as of July 1, 2017. Keith is a proud Laurier Alum and long standing Laurier employee of 17 years. Keith has been involved with the WLUSA executive board for since 2004 and is proud and excited to be serving members as president this term. If you see Keith around campus, feel free to say hello!
My life in WLUSA started after our strike in 2002. I joined the Exec in 2004 as the Vice-President: Internal, and then became President from 2006-2008, then 2009-2011. Since then I have been in the Past-President role, the Treasurer role, and of course, the Chief Negotiator role a few times. I enjoy representing workers, and I enjoy the art of negotiating as well as rules of order when conducting meetings.
Almost all of my volunteer life is through Laurier as well. I absolutely LOVE Convocation. I have volunteered for the last 7 or 8 years at convocation handing out alumni booklets to all of the graduates when they come off the stage, as well as being a Marshall.
Personally, I live in a nice apartment close to the University with Madeline, my 7 year old cat. It’s nice to walk to work every day and avoid the traffic. I just started playing pool about a couple of years ago and have a group of friends that I play trivia with on a weekly basis.
Random thing that no one knows: I can do “Cups” by Anna Kendrick.
